Greetings Hermites,
Hermetic Science is now on Bandcamp! Check it out here.
The first batch of reviews of Live at Innsmouth has been posted. Check it out in the Reviews section.
Finally, in July I announced our plan to remix and remaster our Magnetic Oblivion era releases (Ed Macan's Hermetic Science, 1997, Prophesies, 1999, and En Route, 2001) from the original tapes, with the goal of releasing 30th anniversary editions of all three albums in 2026, celebrating Hermetic Science's thirtieth year. After locating the ADATs for the debut album, we were distressed to find what appeared to be oxidation on them and decided to send them to specialists, Audio Conservation (www.AudioConservation.com), for digital transfer. We were thrilled to receive news just today (October 9) that the transfer has successfully been completed! We look forward to beginning work on the first album in the very near future and will keep you up-to-date as it proceeds.
Cheers,
Ed Macan

Greetings Hermites,
In our last post in January, we mentioned that the first leg of our American Carnage Tour™ was a huge success, and that we were beginning the process of welding video and audio footage from our November 15, 2024 show at Innsmouth, Massachusetts’ Gilman House into a concert movie to be released on YouTube, an audio album to be released on Spotify, Apple, and other streaming platforms, and a very limited CD release. We are very excited to announce that the movie and album have now been released! The 85-minute movie, titled Live at Innsmouth, has been published on YouTube; you can watch it here. The 82-minute album has been released on all major streaming platforms; check here for details. The album is also available as a very limited CD release; check “CD Orders” on this website for details. Besides featuring the entire Deliria Deliria album, the movie and audio releases include the first-ever live performances of the entire “Against the Grain” suite and “En Route” from the En Route album, and end with the “Melancholia II”/“Second Coming” medley that closes These Fragments I Have Shored Against My Ruins. Not to be missed!!
And that’s not it, either! January 2026 marks the 30-year anniversary of Hermetic Science’s founding. To celebrate this seminal event, we plan to re-release Hermetic Science’s first three albums, Ed Macan’s Hermetic Science (1997), Prophesies (1999), and En Route (2001)! All three, originally released on the regional boutique label Magnetic Oblivion, have been out of print for many years, and have never been available digitally. Although many of the tracks from these albums are available on the Crash Course compilation set, making all three albums available with the original album cover art, track listings, and mixes will shed considerable light on the band’s early development. We will be back with an update on this exciting project shortly.
Cheers,
Ed Macan
