Hermetic Science's debut CD, Ed Macan's Hermetic Science, was released in November 1997; their second CD, Prophesies, in September 1999; their third CD, En Route, in November 2001; and their fourth, These Fragments I Have Shored Against My Ruins, in June 2008. The first three CDs were released under the auspices of the Magnetic Oblivion label; the fourth, by Musea Records. Ed Macan's Hermetic Science sold out in July 2006, and Prophesies sold out in August 2014; THEY ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE. Crash Course: A Hermetic Science Primer was released in May 2006 by Hermeticum Records. It is a two-CD, 20-track, 135 minute compilation set containing all 19 original compositions from the three Hermetic Science albums of 1997-2001 (Hermetic Science, Prophesies, En Route) and the band's ferocious cover of "Mars" from En Route, as well as an eight-page booklet with liner notes by Ed Macan. The music was remixed and remastered from the original tapes, and is sonically superior to the original releases, often substantially so.
